Walking to the Coffee shop, this squirrel just laid right on the branch next to my head and started doing the click click click sound the make when pissed or doing a warning. I "Clicked" back ,not speaking squirrel, and it still stayed stretched out like that was a spa or some lounge chair! He cocked his head and looked at my camera and than looked away uninterested. I swear he was laughing at me. I think he was mocking me! HA! Silly thing... He was still stretched out on his limb as I flipped him off (the neighbors probably thinking I AGAIN had lost it --or was drinking Absinthe once again) and i clicked ,snapped another picture in defiance of that damn rodent and walked away. Them bones are rattling and you told me lies-sweet lies out of fear or me, to lull me into a complacent child of golden halos and better known things, Yet you had to,you mused -- black clawed wings battened down with twine saved from your Christian holidays, from left over packeges sent and duck tape used to keep the cold out, MY salt arounf the windows-THE NOISE AND SCREECHING-- the black wings crushed to my skin rubbing into me into a feeling a shame for my nature, or was I dreaming? Snikers moves VERY fast and tried to reach and "tongue " everything! She is only a baby and is very curious and fast! She will get to about 5-6 feet. Could I have found this tree,decorated by the Fey in an Urban setting? It was and I approached with some reserve. I felt so compelled to take down some of the glittering hanging beads but yet...I dare not touch for what was it if not some eclectic alter to the little ones! I reached out a finger and touched the tree, I loved that someone had taken such time and energy to make THIS tree special. I left some sacred tobacco from the Reservation I ALWAYS carry with me and ask "permission" for a few picture.
